Kurt R. Larson, MD
Dr. Larson is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in joint replacement and sports medicine. He was educated at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, receiving multiple awards for academic excellence. Dr. Larson completed a NIH research fellowship in joint replacement as well as a sports medicine fellowship at UCLA. After completion of residency and fellowships, Dr. Larson moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1992.
Dr. Larson performs about 300 joint replacement surgeries annually. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Also, as a sports medicine orthopedist, Dr. Larson is an expert in the management of sports related injuries. He provides both non-operative and operative care for knee and shoulder pain. Most disorders of the shoulder and knee are best treated without surgery. His goal is to present your options in a logical stepwise fashion; so that you can make the best decision regarding bone and joint health.
